About Us

The Foreste per Sempre ODV Association, established in Modena on May 24, 2011, is a Volunteer Organization registered in the Provincial Register of Volunteer Organizations under determination no. 32 on February 22, 2012, and the Volunteer Register of the Emilia Romagna Region with SITS code 3449. It is also listed in the National Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS) with repertoire number 58188, as of October 19, 2022. The association emerged from over 15 years of experience with the Volunteer Ecological Guards of the Province of Modena, focusing on international cooperation for the protection and conservation of natural systems and biodiversity. It supports local communities and promotes ecologically sustainable development. FpS aims to link forest conservation and regeneration initiatives with the critical issue of climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with the Kyoto agreements and the guidelines of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

The mission of FpS

  • Safeguard woods, forests and biodiversity in order to maintain the balance of the planet and human life.
  • Carry out projects for the recovery and conservation of forest areas through the creation and maintenance of protected areas in Italy and abroad.
  • Carry out projects for the protection and restoration of areas of particular importance for the safeguard of animal and plant species in danger of extinction in reference to the IUCN lists.
  • Promote campaigns and actions for the voluntary application of the Kyoto agreements, for the reduction and/or compensation of greenhouse gases also thanks to the allocation of environmental service certificates (CSAs) from conservation and/or reforestation projects.
  • Promote projects in favor of the populations that inhabit the protected forests, which guarantee environmental sustainability criteria and biodiversity protection, to reduce or avoid anthropic pressure on the territories.
  • Promote and organize information and awareness initiatives throughout the country on energy saving and the reduction of atmospheric emissions to reduce the impact on climate change;
  • Promote reforestation and/or planting of hedges and shrubs throughout the country by involving local authorities, park authorities, agricultural associations, ATCs and private individuals interested in reducing greenhouse gases.
  • Promote campaigns and actions aimed at raising awareness among the Italian public, especially schools, on the importance of forests, on what threatens and is destroying them and how to contribute to saving them;
  • Promote solidarity eco-volunteering. 
Some members of Foreste per Sempre ODV

Foreste per Sempre OdV operates within the scope of activities of general interest referred to in Art. 5 of the Third Sector Code, making use mainly of the voluntary work of its members.

  • d) education, instruction and professional training, pursuant to Law 28 March 2003, n. 53, and subsequent amendments, as well as cultural activities of social interest with educational purposes;
  • e) interventions and services aimed at safeguarding and improving environmental conditions and the prudent and rational use of natural resources, with the exclusion of the habitually carried out activity of collection and recycling of urban, special and hazardous waste;
  • f) interventions for the protection and enhancement of cultural heritage and landscape, pursuant to Legislative Decree 22 January 2004, no. 42, and subsequent amendments;
  • g) university and post-university education;
  • h) scientific research of particular social interest;
  • k) organization and management of tourist activities of social, cultural or religious interest;
  • n) development cooperation, pursuant to Law 11 August 2014, n. 125, and subsequent amendments;
  • u) charity, distance support, free transfer of food or products pursuant to Law 19 August 2016, no. 166, and subsequent amendments, or provision of money, goods or services to support disadvantaged persons or activities of general interest pursuant to this article;
